Drug Production and Cultivation

Drug cultivation is the criminal act of growing or reproducing a narcotic.  Cultivation is categorized as a drug crime and may be classified as a misdemeanor or a felony.  Criminal classification will usually depend upon the type of drug being cultivated, the amount of the drug being cultivated, if the defendant intended to sell, and the defendant’s prior criminal history.

Any person who is charged with drug cultivation is susceptible to harsh legal action by Florida law enforcement and prosecutors.  If a person is convicted of cultivation, he/she may be sentenced with jail time, imprisonment, fines, community service, probation, and court-ordered drug and alcohol counseling.

In the state of Florida it is illegal for a person to grow, possess, or reproduce unlawful uncontrolled substances.  Unlawful uncontrolled substances include: marijuana, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines, LSD, or unauthorized prescription medication such as Oxycontin, or Vicodin.  Any person who grows, possesses, or reproduces an unlawful uncontrolled substance can be charged with a drug crime and will be subjected to legal action.

Drug manufacturing is the criminal act of growing or producing drugs with the intent to sell the drugs after they are produced.  In the United States, drug manufacturing, particularly crystal meth, is on the rise, which is why drug crime laws have become increasingly strict.  People who manufacture drugs typically do so on a large-scale basis and may recruit people to actually sell the narcotics on the street for great profit.

Manufacturing is categorized as a drug crime and may be classified as a misdemeanor or a felony in Jacksonville & surrounding Florida communities.  Criminal classification will usually depend upon the type of drug being manufactured, the amount of the drug being manufactured, if the defendant intended to sell the drug, and the defendant’s prior criminal history.

Any person who is charged with drug manufacturing is susceptible to harsh legal action by Florida law enforcement and prosecutors.  If a person is convicted of manufacturing, he/she may be sentenced with jail time, imprisonment, fines, community service, probation, and court-ordered drug and alcohol counseling.  The legal consequences for most drug crimes, like manufacturing, are life-changing.  For this reason, it is always a wise option to obtain the services of experienced drug crimes attorneys after you have been charged with manufacturing of drugs.
